I Can't and You Won't!

Have spent today thinking 'I can't keep this up!' and have fidgeted around so much I haven't got a lot done. So 'What can I do?' is the opening up question to follow such disempowering thoughts with. Ok what I can do is just type a few lines and post it today, plus do my ironing and packing and sorting out food. 'Time will run out' is another one and as I write it I laugh as I see the joke - time never runs out!! So time to get on with all that I can do before the end of today :)

Barriers or Bridges

Are the words you use barriers or bridges?
Do they open up the conversation or close it down, stop it dead in it’s tracks?

‘I don’t know!’ as an immediate retort to a question is very much an expression that closes up any possibility of knowing, or becoming conscious to a possible answer.

‘I know!’ is also of the same calibre and energy, stopping the conversation from opening to other avenues of exploration and understanding.

Retorts, that become such an intrinsic part of you, to such a point whereby you have lost sight or sound of them and are unable to distinguish them as separate from you, even when they are pointed out to you.

To have both of these happening inside creates an inner conflict, an inner battle that does not allow you to move forward or succeed with whatever you want to achieve without a lot of effort, force and stress.

Being able to become present to this inner conflict, to the constant use of them, is what will enable you to then transform them to being able to say ‘I am open to knowing; to being able to listen with different ears and hear something you have not heard before, in amongst things you probably have; to being able to create a bridge from where you are to where you want to be. :)

When the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears

And yet so often when the teacher does appear we ignore them, running some convincer strategy like 'I have to hear it or see it a certain number of times beore I am ready to connect or take action with them.' So naturally we then create situations that block us from taking action in that direction.

I am no exception!

I have heard about Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill, many times, also acquiring a n e-book version of it several years ago and never looked at it! When I wanted to read it I couldn't find it until now. So clearly the time is now as I have also connected up with Michelle Whaite's Masterminding course on this book. This being the second time of seeing her advertise it. Now I have a physical copy and am able to highlight it in sections of note, as I did in the Science of Getting Rich.

Listening to someone else reading parts of it and discussing it the meaning opens up another level of awareness and understanding.

Being held accountable creates a deeper awareness of a commitment to doing whatever it takes to achieve ones goals - giving a laser focused energy in identifying action steps that you know you SHOULD do AND CAN do that will take you closer to your goal. And then you DO take them because a spark has been ignited to keep your word.
